at the snow, which has been falling gently, lightly, since probably 8:00 this morning.  Last I checked, it was up to 5+ inches.  Around here, that's much more than enough to seriously disrupt things.  Living on a tertiary road, and an unplowed hilly one at that, feeding into a twisty secondary road which may or may not be sanded (let alone plowed? Been snowing off and on since before I got up.  The snow showers are bringing the visibility down to well below 3/4 mile (I know this because that's the distance from my place to the western ridge of the valley, which I've been unable to see at times).  Unfortunately, the strong wind has mostly kept the snow from sticking.  I'll be glad of that ( Read more... )
